This past June, I re-opened my studio doors after closing them to retreat inward on January 11th of 2016. I went 'of the grid' so to speak, to embark on a painting residency and focus solely on bringing together a collection of paintings that had been living in my imagination since I first began to paint.
Initially, I thought this would take about 3-months to complete, but as it turned out, much, much more time was necessary . . . and after 29 months, I was three paintings away from completing the collection I set out to create so many months ago. The time finally felt right on June 11th of 2018 to reconnect, re-open my studio doors, and begin openly sharing about this experience, the collection thus far, and how I will bring it to completion.
Since then, I have been sharing daily on my personal social media outlets (Facebook and Instagram) because it was the most immediate and direct way to share everything. I also started a YouTube channel to house videos that tour the collection. All can be found simply by searching my name on any of the platforms. I invite you to join me there as well.
